The High-Tech Brewer (TM) “Brewing Hot Plate” operates at a power level of up to 6.6KW, allowing it to quietly heat 10 gallons of water in approximately 45 minutes when using a flat-bottom boiling pot. This device minimizes the overall burner heat that reaches the pot while effectively distributing heat evenly across the plate’s surface, eliminating hot spots that could lead to wort caramelization or pot scorching. The even heat distribution on the plate creates a beautiful rolling boil, which enhances hot break and improves hop utilization. The brew plate’s low thermal resistance design significantly reduces temperature drops between the heat source and the brew pot. Additionally, the diffuser plate is integrated into a robust aluminum frame that can reliably support over 300 lbs. The controller is affixed to the frame and can be ordered with thermal-mechanical Infinite switches or analog/digital semiconductor devices. The controller enclosure features an integrated 220 VRMS @ 50A rated power connector and a switched GFCI 120 VRMS @ 15A receptacle, ensuring safe transfer of burning hot wort with a pump.
